Our recent travels...

Many of our consultants have been travelling to an amazing variety of destinations across the globe. These trips always bring valuable and important knowledge to our consultants which is in turn passed on to you - our clients. Whether visiting well-known monuments and tourist sites or getting ’off the beaten track’ in remote areas, nothing can match the knowledge and excitement of a place which is gained by experiencing it first hand.

Kay won a trip to Dubai which she describes as ’A city on steroids!’ Kay was amazed by the  extravagance of the city which is constantly changing and growing. One day Kay went skiing in the morning at The Dubai Mall, to swimming with Dolphins in the afternoon then enjoying a traditional feast in the sand-dunes at night!

Jessica has returned from an educational to Singapore and Penang. Both places offer great opportunities to relax and unwind and yet also offer some cultural experiences such as a Snake Temple! Jessica even managed to squeeze in some great bargain shopping. Jessica was particularly impressed by the resorts and their facilities in Penang and can now make some great recommendations if you are in need of a relaxing beach holiday!

Nicole went on her first educational to Singapore and had a fabulous time. Some highlights included having breakfast with the Orang-utans at The Singapore Zoo, exploring China Town, Little India and Arab Street and enjoying a night river cruise from Clarke Quay. Nicole also discovered the wonders Universal Studios on Sentosa Island and sipped a cocktail at the top of the new Marina Bay Sands Hotel overlooking the city!

Kylie spent 4days experiencing Outback Queensland with Queensland Rail and visited some Aussie icons such as the Qantas Founders Museum at Longreach, the Waltzing Matilda Centre and the Age of Dinosaurs in Milton and travelled on the ’Spirit of the Outback’ and the ’Westlander’ trains.

Christine won a trip to Canada with Air Canada and spent 5days at Sun Peaks Resort near Kamloops. This was Chris’ first time skiing and she also tried out lots of other winter activities such as Tubing, Snow mobiling, and Dog Sledding.

Katie had an amazing adventure travelling overland with Intrepid through Africa from Victoria Falls to CapetownHer favourite highlights included hot air balooning, skydiving and climing giant sand dunes in Namibia. Katie loved spotting hippos and elephants in the Okavano Delta, and seeing the ambunant wildlife at Hwange, Chobe and Etosha National Parks.

Jacqui took part in an educational to Phuket and enjoyed a variety of activities including sea kyaking, elephant trekking, seeing the James Bond island, relaxing and sipping cocktails by the pool! Jacqui also won an APT competition where she had a brilliant time ruising between Budapest and Nuremberg and
wandering through all the Christmas markets along the way!

Verni travelled to Peru and visited the iconic Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley, where she also walked along the Sandgate route of the Inca trail. Verni also enjoyed an excursion to Lake Titicaca and spent time in Lima and stopped over at Santiago in Chile.

Craig, Sue and Kay had a private tour of the Qantas A380 so if anyone wants to know anything about the new A380 they are now experts!!!

Glenys had a very successful group trip combing two European Rivercruises on the Rhine and the Mosel with a focus on Tuliptime and Floriade . Some of the group also added on a wonderful tour around Switzerland enjoying the spectacular mountain and valley views throughout the tour. Glenys has returned from Turkey with another group after they discovered the wonders of Cappadocia, Antalya, Xanthos, Patara, Bodrum, Aphrodisias, Ephesus and Gallipoli.

Sue enjoyed a very relaxing cruise up the Mekong through Vietnam and Cambodia. Sue particularly liked Siem Reap and the spectacular temples of Angkor Wat. She loved Myanmar where she cruised down the Irrawaddy and experienced the wonders of this amazing country. Most recently Sue travelled to China and cruised down the Yangzte river and is now an Asian River Cruising expert!

Jessie travelled to Asia twice last year exploring Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and Cambodia. Some of her favourite highlights included sunrise over Angkor Wat, shooting an ex Vietnam War AK47 at the Cu Chi Tunnels and relaxing on the beach in Langkawi.

These are a few of the amazing destinations that our consultants have been visiting recently. Many new adventures are in planning and we will be updating you on there outcomes in our next update!

If you are interested in a particular destination, no matter how large or small, please drop in and ask if any of our consultants have been there. Chances are, someone in our office has!
